The favourite, HOT SNAP my have a flaw despite wining the Nell Gwyn, she has had less than 3 runs and horses with less than three runs have failed on all twenty six occasions since 2025, surely as a favourite this is a hard stat to overcome?
SKY LANTERN was placed 2nd in the Nell Gwyn, there have been winners beaten and then gone on to win this, but will she stay the trip, the sire prodigy tends to suggest the trip will be too much in this class of race.
BIG BREAK an Irish raider but in the same ownership as the favourite is a progressive type although the stable seem to be developing a little late this season.
MOTH was not originally entered for this race and is likely to be supplemented for the race, so this must cast doubt on what connections initially thought of her, has she come on that much? She has only won a 3 year old maiden, she would certainly need to have come on leaps and bounds from the 2 year old form.
Positives
MAUREEN sired by the same sire as last years winner already had a win this year at 14-1 or there about this seems a good each way chance.
JUST THE JUDGE is unbeaten after 3 runs but one of the younger 3 years in the race which normally does not bode well, I personally think she will not be scratched off my short list just yet and I might see what the market thinks of her.
WHAT A NAME making the journey across from France after winning there a proven stayer and a proven sire who sired the 2025 winner of this race, I think an anti post bet here at around 6-1 again each way might be where my money is going.
